The Civil Service is moving towards a 'Service where all staff will be expected to have the professional skills and experience needed to do their job well'. This course aims to give delegates the essential skills they need to fully carry out their duties within the Civil Service. It will give new entrants into the Civil Service the confidence and ability to carry out their work effectively.
The course will also offer EO/AOs a chance to network with one another, build up contacts in other Government Departments, and discuss the priorities and emerging trends in the Civil Service.
The course consists of 6 modules covering all core topics and skills required for effective working in the Civil Service. After delegates have completed their modules, they will then be set assessments and tests linked to the work that they have covered.
